Sleep Deprived Productions New Sound Effects

Over the coarse of the last few months, Sleep Deprived Productions has been pouring its heart and soul into uploading and adding new sound effects. It's a task that involves a lot of patience and motivation. The world of sound is never-ending, and thus needs constant attention, and a fresh ear for new things. Sometimes that means taking requests and finding out what other people may be after that we, as sound recordists, may not have thought to record before.

We will be uploading and adding new sounds until the end of time, but currently we are putting up bulks of sounds. We spent several months going through the world recording everything that we could get our hands on, and now it's the time to move all these up to the internet. Why the bulk-style work? Up until very recently Sleep Deprived Productions only focus was on visual effects work, music production, video and film editing, and 3D modeling and animation. The sound effects are a new venture and until March of 2008, the infrastructure did not exist for this new sound library.

Our goal is to have one of the best sound libraries available. This means no copy-cat reproductions, or selling of worn out affiliate sounds, but instead an all new, fresh perspective. As a sound engineer and video editor I can't tell you how many times I've caught a movie, or a TV show or commercial and recognized the blasé use of the same old, recognizable sound effects. We, as a company, wanted something new, something that no one else has heard over and over again.
Sometimes what you need nobody seems to offer. That doesn't make your needs any less viable. It means that you need a Sound Effects company that takes requests and delivers on those requests. We are proud of the fact that even before launching we received several custom requests and not only made good on those requests, but ended up giving our customers more than they bargained for! We think that if you make a custom request you should get variations on that theme from which to choose from. In this way you can truly get what you want!
By then end of this year we will have accumulated thousands of sounds, both stock and custom. We are even taking this show on the road! With planned recording excursions to the forests of the Grand Canyon, to the Rain Forests and Jungles of Costa Rica, to the Ocean Beaches of Mexico, and to many other places all over the globe, we are recording everything!
