Operation Peace is 15 songs of pure excellence. There are no filler songs on this album. In fact, almost every song has the potential to make the charts in a wide variety of music genres. The sound is a wicked blend of funk, reggae, rock, hip-hop, country, and deep seated Native American influences.
Clan Destine began recording Operation Peace at Trampled Fruit Records in December of 2007. Beginning with a series of scratch tracks the album was built piece by piece over the next many months. Very rarely did more than two members of the band come into the studio at any given time. In fact, there were only three times that the entire band was in the studio together.
Most of the songs' creativity came out in the rehearsals, at the band's regular practice space, and then was transferred into the studio. Each recording session gave them time to personally reflect on each take and work out the kinks as the need be. This relaxed style of recording gave the artists an advantage they could not have in many other studios.
